The Truths Untold - Part 25
58He knew that he could not live at the Fairmont for a very long time so he decided to change hotels continuously. He knew that Rahul would not need any time to track him down but it at least gave satisfaction to his heart.
HOTEL MOTEL 6,
895, Geary Street,
Downtown San Francisco
This was a small hotel and the best hotel in the world for Vansh. Small, secluded and it also gave him time. He had not checked out of the Fairmont so it bought him even more time before suspicion was aroused.
He also dumped his phone. He had cut the SIM card in 2 pieces and threw the battery away. In place of it, he bought a prepaid use and throw phone. So now there was nothing that could track him down until he used his credit cards. At least that is what he thought.
At RAHULAVIAN, Rahul was sitting in front of his computer watching a small dot entering Hotel Motel 6. The small dot was Vansh. There was a small GPS tracker attached to the bag he was carrying, one on his clothes and another one on the shoes he was wearing.
Rahul was smiling to himself and thinking, ‘Wherever you go, I will follow.’
The dot stopped for some time and then started moving again. Then it showed some vertical movement and after some time, came to rest.
A man entered his office and said,
“Vansh Singhania, Hotel Motel 6, room 208”
“Good. Send him there.”
Vansh had checked in the hotel. The room was not very good but he was not in a condition to complain. Right now, it was heaven for him. He dozed off for some time and then when he woke up, started with his actual job. He got the diaries out and started with them from the start when his family came into the view.
Today, I found my master.
He is a very considerate fellow and his family is like a bunch of pearls.

.
.
Then came an interesting part
12th December, 1986.
Raj and Rahul sir had a fight today.
It was commonplace to see Rahul sir lose his temper but today, even Raj sir was very angry.
Vansh sir was crying a lot seeing the two so he was taken inside the room.
I could not hear exactly what they were talking but I did hear Raj sir say
“You left him when he needed you the most. Now you have lost all rights over him”
I do not know who that ‘he’ was.
.
.
.
.
.
Vansh was also thinking what it could be about. Who could be the He?
’It had to be someone really close to dad as he did not lose temper easily.’
He remembered that he had lost his temper the same way, years ago, when Rahul had slapped him.
(One more reason to kill Rahul. No one insulted Vansh and got away with it.)
He continued reading when he could not find the answer to his ‘WHO WAS HE’ question.
The accounts of Dad’s and Rahul’s fights were quite frequent now.
19th January, 1987.
Vansh sir became 5 years old today.
Today also, Raj and Rahul sir fought.
Their fights became more and more furious.
Nobody even interfered as everyone was scared.
.
.
.
.
.
Again, they fought.
It seems to me that Rahul sir only enters the house when he wants to fight.
Today I heard something of their fight.
It was concerning Vansh sir.
Had all the fights been concerning Vansh sir?
But what did Rahul sir have against him?
.
.
.
.
.
Today they got extremely flared up.
There was a lot of slamming and a lot of shouting.
.
.
.
.
.
These fights went on and on. It was there almost every week. Vansh could not understand what was so much dear to both of them that they were fighting so continuously?
He was now tired of reading so much.
Now his heaven also did not feel the same.
Suddenly, he felt a chill through his spine. He could see the shadow of a man standing outside his door. On bending a bit, he could see two shoes belonging to a man but he was facing not the door, but the other side. Just to ensure himself, he opened the door just slightly to see a man, a bald man, a freaking bald man standing outside.
The man seemed to have heard the door opening and turned to face Vansh.
He was a hideous creature!
He had bags in his eyes, scores of scars on his face and quite a few golden teeth. Plus, he was wearing all black. It added more to his charm. He was scary.
Vansh asked the man,
“May I help you sir?”
“Yes. Buzz off man!”
“Excuse me?”
“Go back to your room and sleep. I have more important work than chatting with you.”
Vansh did so and was grateful to that. He had just sat down when a thought came to his mind.
‘I have seen this man before.’
The more he thought, the more sure he got!
‘Yes, definitely, have seen this man before! But where. . . . .’
It finally came to him.
‘Oh shit! I saw this man at Rahul’s office! Yes! I am sure he was there! God man! How did Rahul track me so easily?’
He knew that his cover was blown and he had to think something fast, really fast. He decided and acted as per his plan.
He knew that people in this area were not very well to do. That would be the crux of his plan. He was going to leave all his clothes and bags in the room itself, just take the diaries with him. He covered the diaries in the towel that the Hotel had provided and when he was ready, dropped wad 100 $ notes in the alley downstairs. As expected a big crowd gathered there and people began to fight about whose money it was. He quickly went down the stairs and joined in the crowd. He could see the bald man in black come after him and search him in the crowd. He found a lad who lived nearby and exchanged some of his clothes with his own and also gave him 200 $. He also took a bag from the house to put the books in and got it on his shoulder.
He was a completely different personality now. He was now wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and some army lockets in his neck.
Now he had to do something with his face. He found a good saloon and went inside.
He came out with his hair gelled and his beard changed to a French beard. He himself could not believe that it was actually him.
Next, he checked into GALLERIA PARK HOTEL.
This San Francisco boutique hotel was at, 191, Sutter Street.
Now, this was a decent hotel but Vansh was not going to stay here for long. This night probably; if luck was with him.
He began reading again.
It was quite usual after this point. It talked about normal life, dad’s and Rahul’s fights and all. Vansh noticed that most of the fights grew more intense during January, when his birthday was near. He did not like that at all.
